Sherlock was always destined to fall. It could not be avoided. So no matter how tightly Mycroft held his hand - or maybe because of it - the fall was always meant to come.
Mycroft realises Sherlock was always meant to fall. Just a quick sketch of an idea that came to my mind... I love this sort of half-prophecy theme
So here we have the Holmes brothers taking a walk on a foggy day, just after rain, and Mycroft holds Sherlock's hand as he strolls down a wall.
Good *evil grin* That's the effect I was going for. Seriously though - thank you so much! I'm so happy you like it! I'm planning a proper drawing one day, this is just a doodle
In season three I really want them to at least dedicate a moment to how Reichenbach hit Mycroft. It's my headcanon that he didn't know his brother survived and ruthlessly hunts his killer. And this just. Mycroft can't protect him from himself, and in the end he failed to save him. Very touching work.
I wrote a fic on how it affects Mycroft. Broke my heart to write it because Mycroft is my favorite character, and we both have a similar headcanon. It takes Mycroft a while to accept that his brother actually is... dead. Because... feels.
/gross sobs because reichenbach
...Because Sherlock.
